Sr. Servant
- Gozen could not be in attendance this weekend and hopes everyone has a wonderful gather.
Orders
- no business, inductions, etc. from any of the orders
Old Business
Ladies Event
- No site has been proposed for this year.
- Siearra and Zara are working on securing a location for Next Year (2011)'s Ladies Event which sounds like it will make an excellent event. More details to follow as they work things out.
- Zara will be checing to see if Cowan is available to have a Ladies / Ladies That Wasn't on short notice. She advises that the site fee would likely be twice as much, and it was agreed by the household that it would be acceptable to raise the event fee per person to cover that cost, but also noted that we will probably have more people in attendance at Ladies and would probably not have to go as high as doubling the fee. Zara will be getting back to everyone on the List regarding her findings for using Cowan this year.
Warlord Nominations
- Those nominated to fill the position which would begin at This Pennsic War where
Angus McClerie
Michael Wernsdorf (Fiesel)
- Because we do not have a definite day and location for Ladies (or may not have one at all) Kahal, as Servant, will be collecting your votes which must be submitted in writing to him BEFORE MOTHERS DAY. Votes are not unanimous as to make sure that everyone has voted and no one has voted twice, so be sure to put your name on your vote or it will not be counted. Please see the Domesday for Kahal's mailing address. Anyone who can not attend the Ladies meeting, should we have one, should submit their vote in this way if they would like their vote to be counted. Anyone attending Ladies, should we have one, may hand it in to Kahal in person at that time.
Fighting Offers
- Should anyone be approached regarding offers for fighting for this Pennsic War, please feel free to collect any information regarding the offer, including contact person, etc. and let them know that we are in process of electing a new Warlord, who will consider and respond to all offers in the order that they where received upon his taking office.
Members
Introductions
Khasar introduced his son Carter, who does archery
Doughal introduced his friend Ray Ray. This was his first exposure to anything SCA related.
Kahal & Maralah introduced their baby, Dakota.
Siearra* introduced Justin who is Alicia's husband, and Philip who is Amegan's boyfriend.
*Please note that short people must be standing to be seen.
Inductions
Angus inducted Allie (Andy/Bubble's GF) who we have decided to keep around. She said the words!
New Business
Angus brought up an issue regarding last Ladies event where Eisenthal took a large loss. Ellesbeth is looking into documentation on the exact dollar amount, and we can decide as a household if this is something that we want to cover completely, split with the shire, or make a donation to offset. More to come on this issue later.
Khasar donated a very large bolt of Sail Cloth for Confed use. Suggested uses are to re-do the sheetwall, or to make a Household shade pavilion or gate shade, so long as it is put to the use for the whole Household.
Beth is re-doing the Domesday. Please get in touch with her and check all of your information including your scadian name, awards, addresses and emails, etc. She will be sending this for post on the website under the password protected section so that it can only be accessed by Members, and we can access and reference it easily at all times.
Angus spoke on the new Aethelmark Fighters requirements for no exposed modern materials. Logos need to be blacked out, cover your plastic with canvas, no white sneakers, etc. CLICK HERE FOR SPECIFICS or find it under the Links > Arms, Armor & Combat
Keldra brought up replacing Pizza Night with a Picnic Potluck around the fire so that noone really has to organize anything, and no one really has to clean up anything (one of the problems with our former Spaghetti night). Less headache, and still family food together time.
Zara said everything on the Yardsale tables must go or it's going in the dumpster, so take it and put some $ in the jar.
Meeting was adjourned.
HNH,
Sophie.
